- The partnership follows increasing demand for financial support at work as research reveals over two-thirds (67%) of employees felt unsupported by their organisation when it came to financial wellbeing at the height of the lockdown last year.
- Companies who prioritise supporting their employee’s financial resilience see a 16%reduction in leavers compared to the previous year.
Anorak, the award winning independent online broker for life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover, has today announced its move into the employee benefit space, partnering with industry leader PK Group to provide further support to employees on their financial journey.
The pandemic left many workers in financial and emotional distress, and as a result, people are now looking for more security when it comes to benefit packages. Providing the option for protection can offer much needed comfort to individuals who are concerned about what would happen if they were to become too ill to work, a reality many people had to face in one way or another following the events of the last year.
David Vanek, CEO and co-founder of Anorak commented: “The last year and a half has left many reassessing their priorities when it comes to workplace perks. Employees are now less concerned with whimsical perks like discounted cinema tickets or free fruit, and are now understanding the value of the traditional employee benefits that had previously been off trend and overlooked. Addressing financial stress amongst employees not only helps companies build stronger, long-time relationships with their employees but it also improves trust and company culture – a win-win for everyone involved.”
Anorak’s advice platform will be embedded into the recently launched PK Engage app from the PK Group, providing employees with interactive access to their Employee Benefits. Employees will be able to have their cover needs calculated through Anorak’s quick assessment and receive instant, online advice about the cover they need. The platform will then scan the whole market to find the most suitable policy and support them on the application journey as and when they need it.
On the partnership Adam Ryan, Head of Employee benefits at PK Group, commented: “We are always looking for innovative ways to support employees of the companies we work with. Our benefits app, PK Engage, helps employers make the most of their benefit spend. This partnership with Anorak will now provide a great way for employees to obtain specialist advice on their personal insurance requirements.”
