British travellers are rushing to book French breaks as quarantine rules are relaxed and the country moves to the amber list. Holiday specialist, Eurocamp has seen online bookings triple and visitors to their website double after the announcement was made this week. And while many areas are now fully reserved, there is some last-minute availability during the English and Welsh school holidays. August breaks are still available in popular areas like Brittany, Normandy and the Dordogne. Stays in Eurocamp parcs in the stunning Vendee region and cosmopolitan Paris can be booked too.
Head of Marketing, Chris Hilton said: “We know that people are desperate to get away to France so we’re delighted that the country is now on the amber list. There has been a real surge in interest following the recent announcement – it seems like there was a lot of pent up demand from people wanting to travel during the school holidays. Although demand is high we have a limited number of August breaks left, in some really brilliant parcs.
We’d advise people to book now to make sure they aren’t disappointed.”
